Access Audit Schedule

The Access Audit Schedule (which also incorporates Special Needs Adaptations) will assist you in meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. It makes it easier for you to cost out the implications of meeting your legal, and to the same extent, moral obligations to your customers. It is an invaluable tool for organisations who wish to keep an eye on budgets as well as meeting the legal obligations of the DDA legislation.

The Access Audit Schedule has been formulated following extensive research and assistance from organisations in the commercial sector. The schedule is extensive containing over 800 items, over two thirds of which are composite items, thus making it easy to use. Complete with Preliminaries, Conditions of Contract and Preambles. The schedule covers an extensive range of possible works that may be required, both internally and externally. Everything from internal finishes, doors, kitchens, access aids, alarms and communications, car parks, lighting and electrical and much more besides.

The Access Audit Schedule is intended for use as a stand alone document. Therefore the preliminaries and preambles from the National Schedule have been reproduced in the Access Audit Schedule for ease of use.

Although this document has been compiled using the National Schedule, it has been necessary to introduce numerous additional items, which although coded the same as the National Schedule, are not included in the National Schedule of the same year. Having said this, item codes used in the Access Audit Schedule which are found in the National Schedule are the same and the user is entitled to use the National Schedule to supplement the Access Audit schedule if they so wish. Due to the nature of the work, certain items from the Mechanical and Electrical Schedules have also been used.

USERS ARE REMINDED THAT THE NATIONAL SCHEDULE IS NOT A PRICING BOOK; FURTHER, THEY ARE ADVISED TO TAKE A SELECTION OF RATES IN THE NATIONAL SCHEDULE AND TEST THEM AGAINST THEIR OWN DATA ON A REGULAR BASIS.

Effective date of schedule

The Access Audit Schedule is published annually in August of each year to include the latest promulgated wage rates and prices for materials and plant applicable at that time.
