The National Schedule of Rates comprise, in total, aprroximatley 16,000 items of work. In the case of the Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Painting and Decorating Schedules each rate is broken down into its material, plant and labour constituents, which are updated annually. Each Schedule is issued with guidance notes, preliminaries and preamble clauses and is directly related to the Joint Contracts Tribunal Standard Form of Measured Term Contract 2006.

Building Works Parts 1 and 2
The Building Works Schedule is in two parts. Part 1 contains a guidance to users, preambles and prelminaries and Part 2 contains the compilers notes, schedule of descriptions and a schedule of basic prices.
